What I learned this morning at work

As many of you know, surfing the internet can lead to strange discoveries in a short amount of time. Here's a little timeline of what I learned this morning when I came into the office:

1. Digg.com --> 17 things worth knowing about your cat - Cats can run up to 30mph, faster than even Usain Bolt.

which somehow led to:

2. Nikola Tesla is one of the most badass and ingenious human beings to ever live, albeit a complete mad scientist who was asexual and celibate for his entire life. This is a great read, highly suggested.

3. The Tunguska event involved an immense explosion in Russia 1,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb, and the cause is still unknown to this day.

4. The Tsar Bomba, developed by Russia, is the most powerful explosive ever detonated in human history. It was 10 times more powerful than all explosives used in WW2 combined.

5. And if that wasn't weird enough, here are eight ways to prepare your pets for war

So there you have it. I started with an innocent read about household cats, and ended up learning about nuclear explosions. I think I might get a cat for my new house...hopefully it won't result an any type of radioactive fallout.
